Individual Counselling

About Dominique:

Dominique’s counselling experience includes extensive experience and practical background working with children, youth, and adults.

Dominique has received extensive training in treating eating disorders in children and youth and has completed her practicum at the South Fraser Eating Disorder Clinic in Delta. Dominique graduated from the City University of Seattle in August 2023. During her program, Dominique completed her capstone on the impact that toxic masculinity has on adolescent males’ self-disclosure and help-seeking behaviours regarding their mental health.

Dominique believes in creating a safe space for her clients and will take the time to gradually get to know each single one of them. Dominique believes that each client has their own unique lens and set of experiences. Dominique believes that reaching out for help is a sign of strength and courage, rather than weakness. Dominique will support and challenge you to work through your lived experiences, emotions, behaviours, and thoughts.

Dominique operates from a trauma-informed, person-centred, anti-oppressive lens, lens, in which she prioritizes your wants and needs whilst considering the uniqueness of your cultural background. Dominique believes that there is a biopsychosocial relationship to each struggle that one endures and that all factors should be considered when providing treatment.
